The EAGE is one of Student Chapter are there in Hasanuddin University which established in November 2014.  It was considered to improve the student in geoscience interest especially at the physics major of mathematics and science faculty.

Who are we?

The EAGE Student Chapter was assembled by the student of geophysics at physics major of mathematics and science faculty. We are from different grade in geophysics department. EAGE also cooperated with SPE and SEG, the other student chapter in Hasanuddin University which mainly oriented  geophysics.

What’s our motto?

We learn to know, we know to share, we share cause we care. We try to increase the study interest of student in physics major by knowing and sharing. We provide the problem solving for the students who have any difficulties in geophysics. That’s a realization of our careness.

What do we do?

Our EAGE is a new student chapter in Hasanuddin Univerity. So, we still begin our program. Our program actually related with our motto. We learn to know, we know to share, we share cause we care. So, our main program is about studying and sharing. There is BASALT (Basic Study Alternative). We give an alternative study for the student in physics major to know specifically about physics and geophysics.

We also have a skill learning program. We develop our knowledge in some geoscience skill which implemented by the academic ministry, such as software skill learning, interactive petrophysics, 2D processing seismic, english course, graphic design and 3D modelling.

To existing our student chapter, there is also some program which head for show our existence in public. There is GEOSCHOOL (Geoscientist Goes to School). We introduce geoscience to the student as one of potential knowledge nowadays.

We will organize lectures, seminar and workshop. we invite the proffesional personage in geoscientist for sharing with all geophysics student in East Indonesia especially the geophysics student of Hasanuddin University.

What next.....?

We hope that this student chapter could be exist and make a good effects for all member and all geophysics student. We just start it, but hopefully it will be an exist student chapter in Hasanuddin University in the following years. Hopefully all of our programs could be running properly.
